  A.T.I.Arts:

1) Path of Rest:

The term Path of Rest, serves both as an acronym and guide, R= resistance, E= explosiveness, S= subtlety and T= transcendence.

Each letter in R.E.S.T. represents a stage, progressing from primitive impulses and behaviours to the stages of learning, knowledge and skill. Eventually, with sincere practice, ones skills attain a degree of mastery.

At this point, ones skills must be purely cultivated through a selfless reflection of the arts highest purpose, rather then become a tool for the expression of ones selfish desires.

The term Path is consistent with the true meaning of terms such as Tao, Divine Will, Wu Wei etc.

Path of Rest is a formless synergy of defensive, ethical and cultivative arts. Its practical sciences include learning the sciences of: circle of space, controlling centre, movement to momentum as well as reading, feeding, utilizing and dissolving pressure.

At the higher levels, subtle possibilities and attributes such as shadowing, elusiveness, effortlessness, resistance chambering, limbo and bewilderment are acquired.

All of these skills are meant to be performed while manifesting an ideal internal state, consisting of qualities and virtues such as: Calm, Composure, Proper Perception as well as love, compassion, peacefulness, tranquility, meditative and prayerful states and a heightened sense of justice.

The process of Path of Rest is to become an expert of honest self evaluation and improvement.

Its aim is to transcend primitive impulses within ones self and to strive to not trigger them in others. All of this must be done within a growing sphere of purpose. Functionality in this art is guided by the standards of using force as a servant of justice and the ideal of peace.

“Unless you must, bruise not the serpent in the dust, how much less wound a man. And if you can, no ant should ye alarm, much less brother harm. Let all your striving be for this, to become the source of life and immortality, and peace and comfort and joy, to every human soul, whether one known to you or a stranger, one opposed to you or on your side…”  Abdul Baha Bridges on the Path:

2) Way of Intercepting: the philosophy of Jeet Kune Do, founded by Sigung Bruce Lee

3) Fencing and Disarming: the dynamic fencing arts and the noble art of weapons disarming.

4) Just Forceology: the study of force as a servant of justice and the peace keeping arts

5) Lotus: the harmonization of protective, communicative and guidance arts.
